Engineering, Computing and Math
Your degree promises an exciting ride—maybe on a roller coaster or a spaceship you design.
Why Texas Tech?
You’ll study problems that affect the world and contribute to their solutions. Erika Nordstrom, BS/Civil Engineering, 2007, completed an internship researching answers to our diminishing water resources. The foundation she received in the classroom prepared her for the real world experience.
“I was able to see hands-on the application of the knowledge I gained in my classes.”Erica Nordstrom, BS ‘07
The Facts
- In the co-op program in the College of Engineering, you’ll work with professional engineers at companies like 3M, Chevron, Dow Chemical, NASA and Toyota Motor Manufacturing while you complete your undergraduate degree.
- Team projects and competitions put your classroom knowledge to the test. Use your skills on a cement canoe, structural bridge or Formula One car.
- Incorporate a study abroad experience into your education with Engineers Without Borders, a program that sends volunteers to work in developing countries.
