High School Student

Once you submit the following documentation, you’ll be on your way to becoming a Red Raider.

Required Documents:

  • Complete ApplyTexas application at www.applytexas.org
  • $60 non-refundable application fee or qualifying fee waiver documentation
  • Official ACT and/or SAT scores
  • Official high school transcript with class rank and senior courses in progress
  • When a student has a GED, they must submit their official GED scores as well as a partial high school transcript

Optional Documents:

  • Activities – on the application – You may submit a separate resume in addition to, but not in place of, the activities listed on the application.
  • Essay – Topics A, B or C of the ApplyTexas Application
  • Letters of recommendation – up to three
  • Please submit a transcript from any college where you have completed dual credit or college-level coursework. This is requiered before credit can be transfered

Note:
Current Texas State law requires successful applicants to a post-secondary institution of higher education to meet the following requirements:

1. Successfully completed the curriculum requirements for the recommended or advanced high school program or its equivalent

2. Satisfied ACT’s College Readiness Benchmarks on the ACT assessment applicable to the applicant or earned on the SAT assessment a score of at least 1,500 out of 2,400 or the equivalent
