Driving Directions to Texas Tech

The Visitors Center is located in West Hall just off the main entrance to campus at Broadway and University Avenues. West Hall is the second building on the right.

From the south:

Enter the city on Highway 87. Follow Highway 87/Interstate 27 north to the 19th Street exit. Turn left (west) on 19th Street and continue to University Avenue. Turn right (north) on University Avenue to Broadway. Enter the Texas Tech campus by turning left on Broadway.

From the southeast:

Enter the city on Highway 84. Take Loop 289 West to the University Avenue exit. Go north on University Avenue to Broadway and enter the Texas Tech campus by turning left on Broadway.

From the west or southwest:

Enter the city on Highway 62/82, which becomes the Marsha Sharp Freeway inside the Lubbock city limits. Merge right from the Marsha Sharp Freeway to 19th Street. Continue east on 19th Street to University Avenue. Turn left (north) on University Avenue and continue to Broadway. Enter the Texas Tech campus by turning left on Broadway.

From the north:

Enter the city on Interstate 27 and take the Avenue Q exit and proceed south. Turn right (west) onto the Marsha Sharp Freeway and continue to University Avenue. Turn left (south) on University Avenue to Broadway. Enter the Texas Tech campus by turning right on Broadway.

From the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport:

Exit the airport along Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and proceed to Regis St. Turn right (west) on Regis St. and go to Interstate 27. Take Interstate 27 (south) toward Lubbock. Take the Ave. Q exit and proceed south. Turn right (west) onto the Marsha Sharp Freeway and continue to University Avenue. Turn left (south) on University Avenue to Broadway. Enter the Texas Tech campus by turning right on Broadway.

From Albuquerque:

Enter the city from Highway 84 East. Turn right (south) on Indiana Avenue and proceed to 4th Street. Go left (east) on 4th Street and merge onto Marsha Sharp Freeway and stay right. Turn right (south) on University Avenue and continue to Broadway. Enter the Texas Tech campus by turning right on Broadway.

Preston Smith International Airport

Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is located minutes from the Texas Tech campus. Airline service includes American Airlines, Continental Express and Southwest Airlines. Car rental is also available at the Lubbock airport.
