If you are not a Texas native or if Texas Tech is not your first school, you will feel right at home with J.D. Gragg, the Transfer Recruitment Manager. J.D. is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska and is very familiar with everything involved in making the move to Texas Tech and to Lubbock. J.D. has lived in Lubbock for 5 years and is amazed at how quickly Lubbock begins to feel like home. “Lubbock is a great place to attend college and Texas Tech is an amazing University. Having grown up in a college town around a large University like the University of Nebraska, I have been very impressed with everything that Texas Tech can offer students, transfer or not. The education, traditions, student life and opportunities to be successful at Texas Tech are second to none. However, the most striking thing to me about both Lubbock and Texas Tech is the people. I have never encountered nicer, more genuine people in my life than here in Lubbock.”
