“Coming from a small town, I was excited and nervous to begin classes on the Texas Tech campus. Once the semester began and I got in a routine the campus seemed so much smaller.”

By getting involved as a student assistant on campus in her freshman residence hall, JoAnn began making connections on campus. This helped her continue her career at Texas Tech upon graduation and now she manages the Visitors Center, including the campus visit programs. “I love being able to share my passion for Texas Tech with prospective students and their parents as they step foot on campus for the first time. Often, it’s an eye-opening experience that many of them remember for the rest of their lives.”
