You’re Gonna Love it Here. Seriously.
Just wait for the first football game. Waves of Red Raiders with their Guns Up. The Matador Song. Bangin’ Bertha ringing above the crowd.
There are also Raidergate student tailgating parties, the Victory Bells that ring after every Texas Tech athletic victory and the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, winner of the Sudler Trophy – the highest collegiate band honor.
Oh … and when the Masked Rider gallops down the field, you’ll know why the Associated Press said it’s one of America’s coolest mascots.
In December, take a date to the Carol of Lights. The ceremony includes a parade and music, and culminates with the lighting of miles of red, gold and white lights that illuminate campus buildings throughout the holidays.
Celebrate spring by planting flowers during Arbor Day. Those are just a few of our many great traditions.
