Need Something to Do?
With more than 400 student organizations on campus, you shouldn’t have any problems finding people to hang out with.
Celebrate Your Culture.
Students from all 50 states and nearly 100 foreign countries create a diverse student population.
Take an opportunity to celebrate your own culture or embrace a new one. Join a group that promotes multicultural unity like the Hispanic Student Society, Korean Student Organization or Asian Student Association. Attend a performance of Orchestra Africa, the Whirling Dervishes or the Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats.
Want to Live Like the Greeks?
Be a part of one of the oldest traditions at Tech. With 23 national chapters to choose from, you can make friendships that will last a lifetime. Benefit from the experience of older members at group study hours. Run for an office or lead a committee to plan social or fundraising events. Homecoming float building, SO-Sing competitions and themed parties like 80′s Night are among your choices.
Make an Impact Beyond the Campus.
Ongoing volunteer work and special projects with organizations like Tech Habitat for Humanity and Alpha Phi Omega provide opportunities to give back including mentoring elementary students, leading a food drive or fundraising for local charities.
Be a Leader.
The Student Government Association is the voice of the student body and makes decisions that affect the entire campus. Focus Lubbock brings student leaders together to learn about our local community. Every student organization has officer positions to develop your skills and confidence.
