Student Tailgate

Join us on the lawn of West Hall for a tailgate before the game! Munch on snacks as you watch our Homecoming Parade while hanging out with our recruiters and administrators.

Please note: The schedule for this event will vary depending on kickoff for Saturday’s game. We will send you final event details as soon as we learn the official kickoff time on the week of the game.

Mingle with faculty, administrators and current students. Talk one-to-one with our academic deans to make a personal connection and determine some of the activities you might want to take advantage of during University Day.

Preview the full Red Raider experience during University Day! Attend a pep rally where you will learn Texas Tech cheers and meet the mascots. Find out about our academic programs and campus activities. Make new friends. Get your questions answered.

Registration: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Register in advance or on University Day at the United Spirit Arena. Pick up your complete University Day guide at check-in.

Spirit Showcase and Welcome 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Start your University Day like a true Red Raider with our Spirit Squads, Saddle Tramps and the Goin’ Band from Raiderland. The Spirit Showcase is followed by a special welcome from our student leaders and Texas Tech administrators that will give you a feel for our campus culture.
Presentations
9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get all the information you need and ask questions during information sessions on everything from academics, admissions, financial aid and residence life.
Information fairs
9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Our experts are ready to answer your questions in a relaxed, informal setting.

Tours
11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We can’t wait to show off our campus. The Visitors Center in West Hall will provide walking tours every 30 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will provide shuttle buses from the United Spirit Arena to the Visitors Center.

12 to 3 p.m.
