ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS. You will need to submit the following:
- Texas Common Application
Complete the Texas Common Application for International Students. If you have no Social Security Number, a matriculation number will be assigned to you. Non U.S. Citizens must choose a major. - $75 non-refundable application fee
- Test Scores
Students who have completed secondary school in the United States must take and submit scores from the ACT or SAT I. Students whose native language is not English must meet an English proficiency requirement by submitting TOEFL or IELTS test scores.- TOEFL
Present a score of at least 550 (paper exam), 213 (computer exam) or 79 (internet-based exam) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL requirement may also be waived if the student has attended a U.S. high school or college for at least two years or if the student is a citizen in a country where English is the native language. Information concerning the TOEFL may be obtained from Education Testing Service, Rosedale Road, Princeton, New Jersey 08541, USA or by visiting their website at www.ets.org. Further testing will be given once the student arrives on campus to verify competency. Students lacking adequate English proficiency will be required to enroll in basic English courses. - IELTS
Present a score of at least 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Information concerning the IELTS may be obtained by visiting the IELTS website at www.ielts.org. Further testing will be given once the student arrives on campus to verify competency. Applicants with foreign academic credentials must provide academic records in the original language with a certified English translation. Applicants who have attended school outside the United States need to provide official results of secondary external examinations on examination board letterhead (such as GCE "Ordinary" level exams) and official transcripts from any university-level studies already completed in the United States or elsewhere. Failure to provide complete information regarding post-secondary level study could result in cancellation of admission.
